Leader:
The Lord be with you.
All: And
also with you.
Leader: Lift up your hearts.
All: We
lift them up to the Lord.
Leader: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
All: It
is right to give God thanks and praise.
(The
prayer begins by approaching the aspect of God as Creator, Father, Life-giver,
being thankful for all that we have been given, especially the gift of Jesus
Christ. The segment concludes with
words to the effect of…)
Leader: …we join with the whole creation to
lift our hearts in joyful praise, saying together…
All: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, god of power and
might,

prayer continues, with a focus now on Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Redeemer,
and how He gave us the communion meal to unify us in one heart, one spirit, and

Christ will come again.
(We
come to the final segment of the prayer, addressing the Holy Spirit, moving
from thankfulness for what has been done to intercessions regarding what may
yet be. A time of silent
supplication may mark this time, after which we conclude with The Lord’s Prayer
(debts).

us as we pray boldly with the words that He taught us as we say together, Our

Rev. Steve’s “office hours” are going to shift a bit.
On Wednesday mornings (except the first Wednesday of the month, when he
attends the Georgetown Ministerial meeting), he will be having breakfast at the
McDonald’s on Guelph St. at Mountainview in Georgetown from approximately
8:45-9:45, and would like to invite those who want to “drop in” to meet him
there during that hour! He will
then be out at the church from 10-12:30.
