· Rental Unit needed for GFORCe3 Afghan Family: GFORCe3 is widening its search for a rental unit for its second Afghan Family. We will now looking for a 3-bedroom rental unit within walking distance of amenities, especially a grocery store within Georgetown, Acton or Milton. GFORCe3 will be responsible for all costs associated with the unit until the family has lived here for 1-year. Please let others know of this need. Contact Greg MacDonald (416.219.9113), Don Robinson (905.703.0043), or Susan Tupling (416.200.8675) with any possibilities.
· Request: In conjunction with the Georgetown BreadBasket, Community Unity has identified approx 225 Families in need of Groceries in the Halton Hills area and will be convening Saturday March 16th 9:30 AM at Georgetown Christian Reformed Church. We are suggesting our Families in all of our congregations to share Easter with another family by ideally purchasing (2) $50.00 Grocery Gift Cards and also writing an Easter Card to the family and share God’s love between us… Any size of donation is greatly appreciated and please forward all Cards, Donations and Easter Cards to your Church Representative. Let's keep the message moving forward that as a “Christian Community” we need to pull together in times and are called by Jesus to love and help thy neighbour.
· Georgetown Bread Basket - the local food bank is experiencing unusual demand based on fewer donations and an increased number of clients. They are currently serving approximately 600 people per month and distributing more than 6000 pounds of food a week. Some items that are needed include: various canned products, juices, coffee, cooking rice, and jam.
· Prayers for the day:
· - For families who are suffering grief and loss, especially those who are sitting and waiting for the inevitable, that God grant them peace as they feel His presence close to them
· - For those dealing with illness and injury, trying to recover in a difficult time of the year, that they may receive patience and strength
· - For those planning happy events, that they not lose themselves so deeply in details that they forget to be happy
· - For those just trying to take each day as it comes, that they may be able to live life one day at a time.
· -Thanks, as always, to everyone for your continued support of the work and ministry of our congregations
