Georgetown Bread
Basket -
if you are thinking of making a donation to the Georgetown Bread Basket this
month, the items in most need are juice boxes for students, individual pudding
cups (preferably Chocolate), Instant Hot Breakfast Cereal, Ketchup and
Crackers. Items can be dropped at the food bank, in grocery stores or at Knox
and they will be delivered for you.

Georgetown
Candlelight Tributes: May 4th,
in observance of the 78th anniversary of Victory in Europe
Day. Participants are invited to gather at the Edith St parking lot at
6:30 pm for the silent walk followed by a candle laying at the cenotaph.

Rotary Community Dinners at Knox: Supported by Out of the Cold
Volunteers: In partnership with the Rotary Club of Georgetown and many of our
Out of the Cold Volunteers we will be hosting a series of community dinners
based on the model currently being done at St. Andrew’s UC. The first
dinner will be on May 5th. For more information, speak to Charles.

Coronation Service: Knox will be conducting a
two-part service on May 6th to celebration the Coronation of our new
King. In the first part we will be streaming the Coronation from London
in the Church at 5am. In the second part we will conduct our own service
at 9am. Both will be open to the public.
· Coronation Day May 6, 2023 – Limehouse Women and Men’s
Association is offering English Tea Boxes to Celebrate the Coronation. Each box contains
a selection of Tea Sandwiches, Sweet Treats and Tea Bags. Enjoy by
yourself or gather with friends. These are $15.00 each and must be pre -ordered
before April 29. Pick up from Limehouse Church between 10:00am and Noon

Joint
Worship Service - The five Presbyterian
Congregations of Halton Hills are invited to gather at Knox, Georgetown, for a
joint service of worship on Sunday, May 7th, service to start at 11:00am!
The theme for the service will be Holy Humour, so bring your funnybone as we celebrate
together - "The joy of the Lord is our strength" (Neh.
8:10).
