Announcements
Today is Spring Forward… and you are not late to worship! 😊
In some Church circles, this is known as Laetare (lay-TARE-ay) Sunday, as the fourth Sunday of Lent comes just 21 days before Easter – the end is in sight! In denominations where strict fasts were observed and other celebrations (such as weddings) forbidden, on this Sunday they would be allowed. Priests may wear rose-coloured vestments, as on Gaudete Sunday (the Sunday of Joy) during Advent.
We continue to be cautious regarding re-opening for public worship again –please pray for wisdom and discernment as we consider the question.
Limehouse Session meets on Thursday at 7:00.
The Weekly Check-in with Rev. Steve on Zoom is held on Tuesdays at 3:00. You can use this link if you wish to access the Zoom room (and any who wish to check in from Limehouse are also welcome!).
The Bible Study on the Epistle to the Hebrews has begun again! We continue into Chapter 8 – this meeting is also on Zoom, and you can click on these words to activate the link to join in!
Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to the Easter Basket Brigade grocery card campaign – for those who have not yet given them in, please have the cards or the cash to the church or to Rev. Steve by March 25th.
Anna McNiven, a member of the Knox congregation for the past 74 years, passed on Monday, March 8th. Her funeral was this past Friday.
Easter will be celebrated on Sunday, April 4th. Everyone is invited to view our Good Friday service on April 2nd as well. There will NOT be a Maundy Thursday service this year.
Thanks, as always, to everyone for your continued support of the work and ministry of our congregations! Please remember that you can mail in your offering or, for the case of Knox folks, contribute through Canada Helps, starting at www.knoxgeorgetown.com/index.php/donations
