Announcements

· Given that we are now in yet another shut-down, this one intended to last until the end of April, we will not be returning to in-person worship for some time yet. Please be praying for those who have COVID, those who are trying to stand with those who are sick, as well as those who are struggling with the situation around us because of COVID!

· However, the Limehouse Drive Shed Rebuild has started! The clean-up of the damage was completed this week, and the construction has also started. A big thank-you goes to Joan Matheson for donating some gray barn boards for the project! Please pray that the work will proceed swiftly and safely. · The Weekly Check-in with Rev. Steve on Zoom is held on Tuesdays at 3:00. You can use this link if you wish to access the Zoom room.

· The Bible Study on Hebrews takes place on Thursdays at 3:00, also on Zoom! We are in chapter 9 – this meeting is also on Zoom, and you can click on these words to activate the link to join in!

· Community Unity Spring Yard Cleanup – Community Unity hopes to have this project go ahead in early May, after the shutdown has lifted. If you, or someone you know, needs help with their spring yard cleanup, please advise Rev Steve or Dennis McLay. Volunteers are also needed to accomplish this community Mission project.

· Townsend Smith Hospice Foundation – Rev. Steve and Kathy are participating in a “Virtual Hike for Hospice” on Saturday, May 1st, to help raise funds for the proposed ten-bed hospice facility the Foundation wishes to raise in North Halton. For more details about the hospice project itself, see www.townsend-smith.ca! The link for sponsoring either of them is behind these blue words!

· Pray also for:

o Those of the Eastern Christian traditions, for whom this is only Lent V, who will celebrate Easter (Pascha) on May 2nd!

o Students, teachers, and parents as they adjust to school-at-home once again

o Those celebrating milestone events this year without large celebrations

o Those who struggle to forgive offenses against them where no request has ever (or will never) come their way

· For Limehouse Folks – As has been announced, Bill and Betty-Anne Karn are stepping back from their positions as the Church’s Treasurer and Secretary! We thank them for their exemplary service in both roles – Bill over the past couple of years as Treasurer, and Betty-Anne for twenty years as Secretary! However, we will need to replace them in these roles, and the sooner we can do so, the better. Please speak to Rev. Steve or Bill or Betty-Anne if you are interested in knowing what either of these jobs entails, and pray about whether or not this is something you can give y

The repair of the horse shed has begun!!

The tear down of the shed is now complete, and the crew is working on repairing the shed to bring it back to it's historic beauty.

We are reusing as much roof plywood as possible since it has increased in price tremendously. The heritage lumber arrived yesterday. The back beam was installed today.

Joan Matheson has donated gray barn boards which will lower our heritage lumber cost by nearly $1000.
