Lent - For more than fifteen centuries, the season of Lent has encompassed forty non-Sabbath days before Easter, a very Biblical number of days during which Christians are encouraged to examine themselves and their lives before the celebration of the Resurrection! This season is known as "Lent" and part of the process often includes a "fast" of some kind. Whatever you give up, whether or not you stick to it is between you and God! But this is a time to be reconciled, a time to be humble, and a time to come close to one another and to God.
Circles Around Addiction - On Wednesday, March 27th, from 1-3pm and 7-9pm, Knox will be hosting a workshop regarding the Opioid Addiction Crisis that has been much-touted in the news over the past months and years. The focus is on the circles of life around the addict - what do we need to know? How can we support the addict we know and love? How can we take care of ourselves? What's truth and what's rumour? If you know someone who is struggling with opioid addiction, or simply want to know more about what's going on, please plan to come to either of these sessions. If you wish to talk before the event, please contact Rev. Steve.
