Great Prayer of Thanksgiving

The Lord be with you.

And also with you.

Lift up your hearts.

We lift them up to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

It is right to give God thanks and praise.

(Prayers of thanksgiving for the Father's creation are offered.  The congregation is invited to join in the ancient hymn…)

…we join with the whole creation to lift our hearts in joyful praise.

Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of power and might, Heaven and earth are full of your glory.  

Hosanna in the highest.  

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.  Hosanna in the highest.

(Prayers continue, thanking Jesus for His work among us and the meal that is before us)

…and we proclaim the mystery of faith:

Christ has died.  

Christ has risen.  

Christ will come again.

(The prayer concludes, asking the Holy Spirit to continue to work among us all.  The congregation then joins together to offer up The Lord's Prayer.)

Our Father, who art in Heaven,

Hallowed be Thy name.

Thy kingdom come, and thy Word be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, 

And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

Union Church Chili & Jeopardy Night - Union Presbyterian Church is holding their Annual Chili Night with a fun game of Jeopardy on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the church at 6:30 p.m.  Tickets are Adults $12.00 and Children $6.00 available at the door.  Several varieties of homemade Chili, rolls, salad and a desert with choice of cold and hot drinks.
