Announcements

·       Community Unity Yard Cleanup - the Annual Fall Yard Cleanup date this year is Saturday, November 5th. If you need your yard raked by Community Unity, please advise Rev Steve or Dennis. Volunteers are also needed for the cleanup day commencing at 8:15 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church and ending at 12 noon at Knox Church.

·       Evangel Hall Delivery - Rev. Steve will be doing a delivery of clothes and sundries to Evangel Hall on Wednesday, November 2nd.  If you wish to donate any items, please leave them in his Study before that time.  Please keep in mind that non-winter-weight clothing will be donated onward by EH, as they only have so much storage space.  Donations of NEW underwear and socks (all sizes) are always welcome, as well as travel-sized grooming items.

·       Rev. Steve will be out of the country until October 31st and will not have access to his phone until he returns.  In a pastoral emergency, please contact your elder or the Church to make alternate arrangements.

·       Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CAShh) is looking for Volunteer Drivers to help drive our clients to and from their cancer treatments and appointments. Our clients travel to different hospitals and clinics within the GTA and outside of the GTA (Toronto, Oakville, Mississauga, Hamilton, Brampton). We are in particular need for drivers willing to drive to downtown Toronto. Drivers are compensated for their mileage by CAShh.If you are interested in joining our wonderful organization and help make  someone's cancer journey just that little bit easier, please contact Wendy Molnar, our Transportation Coordinator at transportation@cancerassistance.org or phone 905-702-8886.

·       Food bank donations via our Toonie Jar are down substantially this year to date. We are hoping to make up for this decrease in November and December..  Although prices are going up everywhere, this only makes life more difficult for those who rely on food banks.  Please consider helping us to increase donations these last two months so we can provide our usual support for this important community effort.

·       WA Meeting- Nov 20 immediately following the church service. Please mark your calendars!
