Announcements

·         News from the Women's and Men's Association (WMA) We officially have changed the name of the Women's Association ( WA) to the Women's and Men's Association.  This change will not only make the wording more inclusive, we hope it will encourage men to come out to our meetings to help us plan and fundraise.  Watch for details on the first WMA meeting in the service notes.

·         Coronation Box Fundraiser- May 6th The WMA will be having our first fundraiser of 2023 on Saturday, May 6th.  We will be selling Coronation Boxes to help celebrate the coronation of King Charles.  Boxes will include sandwiches, sweet treats, and tea.  For more details or to pre-order contact Cathy Brown or watch for more details in the service notes.

·         If you are available on Saturday morning, March 25th, the Easter Basket Brigade needs drivers to help deliver the gift cards to those who will be receiving them!  Please meet at Georgetown Christian Reformed Church (11611 Trafalgar Rd.at 9:15 on Saturday - you will be given the cards to be delivered and the address to which you are taking them!  God bless, and thanks in advance from the Community Unity team.

·         Georgetown Bread Basket - if you are thinking of making a donation to the Georgetown Bread Basket this month, the items in most need are juice boxes for students, individual pudding cups (preferably Chocolate), Instant Hot Breakfast Cereal, Ketchup and Sugar. Items can be dropped at the food bank, in grocery stores or at Knox and they will be delivered for you.

·         Coronation Service:  Knox will be conducting a two-part service on May 6th to celebration the Coronation of our new King.  In the first part we will be streaming the Coronation from London in the Church.  In the second part we will conduct our own service.  This will be open to the public.  More details will be forthcoming once we known when the Coronation and coverage will begin.

·         GFORCe3 is pleased to announce that both Afghan families that they are sponsoring have been accepted to come to Canada this year; one through the United Church of Canada and the other through the Presbyterian Church of Canada.  Thank you to all who have supported us and will continue to do so.  Thank you for your prayers and blessings.

·         Out of the Cold Update: as we near spring we have started to make plans for closing down for the year. Our last night of normal coverage will be April 9th (Easter Sunday). We will then transition to emergency only coverage until the night of April 16th when we will be completely shut down for the year. If spring weather arrives early, we may transition to emergency coverage sooner.

·         Prayers for this Week

·         For various congregations who have seen the end of their road and are making difficult
