·         6th line/ 22nd Sideroad Road Construction Note the road construction from 6th line /22 Sideroad to Hwy 7 is scheduled to last until Oct 30.

·         Church Anniversary September 24.

·         Heritage Designation: Info on this designation is on the bulletin board by the front entrance.

·         Rev. Steve Anniversary - - please join us at Knox at 12:15 to celebrate Rev. Steve’s 25th anniversary as an ordained minister!  There will be a sandwich luncheon (make your own) with cake to follow, but come and celebrate with him as he passed this milestone on Wednesday, August 23rd!

·         Rotary Community Dinners at Knox: Our next dinner will be Sep 1st at 6:00 pm.  The menu will be BBQ with pasta, mashed potatoes, and Caesar salad. Speak to Rev Steve or Charles for more information.

·         Georgetown Bread Basket - the local food bank is experiencing unusual demand on their shelves this summer and if you are considering making a donation, the following items are most needed - Canned Meat, Juice Boxes, Instant Puddings, Ketchup and Crackers.  Donations may be dropped off at the food bank or at the church and they will be delivered for you.

·         From Community Unity: A wonderful Ukrainian family that we had the privilege of working with through the Easter Basket Brigade (subsequently found jobs via Lois Fraser etc) is looking to move to Milton to be closer to their work/school and looking for rental housing.  Ideally looking at paying around $2,000 per month and would like to find a place ASAP as the other family that they were living with is moving to Toronto.  If anyone is able, or knows someone who is able, please let us know.

·         Prayers:

·         - For those preparing for school, as teachers or students, some for their first year, some for their final year

·         - For those marking milestones and transitions

·         - For congregations of Christians around the world who are either searching for their next minister or attempting to discern what the future holds for them

·         - For the poor and hungry around the world as storm, fire, flood, and war make the distribution of plenty even more difficult and costly.

·

·         -Thanks, as always, to everyone for your continued support of the work and ministry of our congregations!
