ANNOUNCEMENTS

We welcome you to worship this morning. May God continue to bless us here at Limehouse.

If you wish to participate in Lenten readings, please speak to Bill Karn.

The first Sunday of Lent is March 5th.

All ladies are invited to attend the Women's Association annual meeting,  Sunday March  5th,  to plan the year ahead. We will be discussing, a  ladies  dinner out, a garage sale for fundraising and a sesquicentennial tea to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday.

Coffee and treats will be served. Please join us following morning worship.

If you need a ride to and from church call Alison 905-877-2323.

The "Toonie Jar" monies will be donated to our local food banks this year

on a semi-annual basis. We will support Acton Food Share and Georgetown Bread Basket. Please contribute.

Mark you calendar!

A Congregational Breakfast will be held on Saturday March 25th in our

church basement at 9 a.m. Contact Cathy Brown if you wish to help.

Following breakfast, Rev. Steve will lead a meeting to discuss and

plan our community events for 2017.

MENTAL HEALTH 101 – Bethel Church will be hosting a Mental Health 101 workshop on Saturday, March 4, from 8:30 to noon.  The seminar will discuss what good mental health looks like and how to walk with those who are struggling.  There will be time for questions and discussion.  For more information or to register please contact Shirley Feddema, Community Life Coordinator, communitylife@actoncrc.com or 519-853-2121 x5.

Gleaners Tour – Please mark your calendars for our tour of the Ontario Christian Gleaners’ work site in Cambridge, next Friday, February 24th!  We need to leave from Knox at 9:00 to get there for the tour’s start time of 10:30.  The tour will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour.  Hopefully this will allow us to commence quarterly visits to the facility to help out with their work.  Curious?  Let Rev. Steve know if you wish to come so that he can arrange rides!

Memorial – Rev. Jim Cooper had a tradition of remembering loved ones within the congregation who had passed away in the previous calendar year.  Today, Rev. Steve would like to revive that tradition a bit as we light a candle and offer prayers in memory of Linda Cairns and Beryl Coles, as well as Joe Scott.
